Headshots for Acting & Model Portfolio Photography in Harrogate

Relaxed, guided sessions that help you create confident portfolio images and headshots in studio or on location.

What to Expect from Your Session

Whether you need actor headshots, actress headshots, or a full portfolio update, I offer guided, stress‑free sessions in Harrogate to help performers build images that get noticed by casting directors and agents. My focus is on creating honest, versatile portraits — not overstyled poses.

My sessions are relaxed, directed, and focused on creating strong, honest portraits that reflect who you are, not just what you look like.

What my clients say

“I felt so natural around you and, as a result, I have photos that I will cherish forever.”

– Hina, personal branding client, autumnal shoot.

It was Hina’s first ever photo shoot. Like many first-time clients, she was quite nervous before her session.

Part of my role as a photographer is to help my clients build confidence so that they leave with images that reflect who they really are.

Gallery: Headshots for Acting and Portfolio Portraits

Here’s a sample of recent studio work — including actor headshots, actress headshots, and a variety of half-body and full-body portraits, all photographed in a Harrogate studio.

Casting directors and agents want to see range and quality rather than hundreds of near‑duplicates. A strong portfolio balances clean, professional headshots for acting with half‑body and full‑body portraits that show shape, posture and styling. In the gallery above you’ll see crisp actor headshots with natural expression, fashion‑flavoured half‑body images, and full‑length shots that prove wardrobe and posing versatility. Aim for variety in expression (warm, neutral, dramatic), a couple of outfit changes, and consistent, professional lighting. Shooting in a Professional Studio

For clients who want full-body portraits, advanced lighting effects, or a clean, professional look throughout their portfolio, I often recommend using The Harrogate Studio — a spacious, fully-equipped photography studio located in Starbeck, between Harrogate and Knaresborough.

The Harrogate Studio offers convenient parking right outside, making it easy to bring outfit changes or arrive relaxed and ready to shoot.

Its large infinity cove (a seamless white backdrop with no visible horizon line) is perfect for full-length poses and high-impact editorial-style images — ideal for both actor and model portfolios.

Using a professional sudio makes it much easier to achieve the look that you need in your portfolio, particularly by making use of backgrounds that are free of distractions, giving a clean polished feel to your images.

Studio sessions also give us creative freedom — whether you want bold fashion looks or subtle theatrical lighting. That said, you don’t have to use a studio. If you’re only looking for headshots for acting or half-body portraits, these can be captured in your home, place of work, or even at my home setup.

Studio hire fees (these can be added as an extra to any session):

One-hour session – £60
Two-hour session – £100

(Included in some packages — see below for details)
