The years with children seem to pass by faster and faster, and they grow up in no time. That is exactly why capturing this stage matters so much, because once it has passed, you cannot get it back.
These mini sessions are designed to be relaxed, straightforward and enjoyable. In just a short session, we can create natural family portraits you will be glad to have in the years ahead.
No awkward posing. No pressure. No session fee.
During your mini session, I will guide you gently so that we capture your family as you really are when you are relaxed and enjoying the moment.
No one needs to perform or force a smile for the camera. The best images and the loveliest reactions come from simply being together.
Pricing at a glance
There is no fee to book and no session fee on the day.
If you choose to buy images after viewing your gallery, the options are:
- 8 digital images: £140
- Additional digital images: £17.50 each
- Upgrade to full gallery (20+ digital images): £245
If you do not find any images you would like to buy, you pay nothing.
That makes this a completely risk free way to enjoy a family photo session.

A short session that never feels rushed
Your session itself will be around 20 minutes, with a little extra time around it so everything feels calm and unhurried.
That is enough time to create a lovely set of family portraits without it becoming tiring for children or stressful for parents.
The aim is to keep things relaxed, simple and enjoyable from start to finish.
Important details before booking
Please make sure you read and understand the following before booking your mini session.
Pricing
There is no obligation to purchase any images after your session. However, if you do wish to buy images, the minimum purchase is 8 digital images for £140.
Additional digital images are available at £17.50 each, and you may also choose to upgrade to the full gallery of 20+ digital images for £245.
All prices are in GBP and there is no VAT involved as I am not VAT registered.
Delivery
Your images will be edited and delivered in a private online gallery within 14 days of your session.
From that gallery, you will be able to view the images and purchase your chosen collection if you wish.
Your gallery will remain available for 7 days from the date it is sent to you, and any image purchases must be made during that time. After 7 days, the gallery may no longer be available.
Once payment has been made, purchased digital images will be available for download from the gallery.
If you would also like to order prints, these may be purchased separately through the online gallery.
Cancellation policy
As there is no payment required in advance, I ask that you let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel your booking so that your slot can be made available to another family.
Usage rights
Copyright remains with Dick Lloyd Photography. Purchased digital images are supplied for personal use only and must not be edited, filtered, sold, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
Use of images by Dick Lloyd Photography
Unless agreed otherwise in writing before the session, Dick Lloyd Photography may use images from the session for portfolio, website, social media, and marketing purposes. If you would prefer your images not to be used in this way, please say so before the session.

When do I pay?
You only pay if you decide to buy images from your gallery after the session. If you do not want to buy anything, there is nothing to pay.
How fast will I get my photos?
You will receive your online gallery within 14 days after the session. Once you choose and pay for your favourite photos from your gallery, you can immediately download them.
Where is the Studio?
The session will take place at The Harrogate Studio, 8a Provincial Works, The Avenue, Starbeck, Harrogate HG1 4QE. Parking is available nearby.
What should I bring?
You just need to bring yourselves. Before the session, you will receive a short guide to help with what to wear and what to expect.
